By earning an Associate’s of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technician degree from Vista College, you can be fully prepared to launch a career as a Medical Laboratory Technician in as little as 18 months!*
What Do Medical Laboratory Technicians Do?
Medical Laboratory Technicians aren’t directly involved in the administering of patient care. Instead, they play a vital behind-the-scenes role in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and medical conditions. As an MLT, you will use highly-advanced laboratory equipment to conduct various tests on bodily fluids and tissue samples.
You’ll also be responsible for entering the data you obtain in patients’ medical records and discussing the test results with physicians when necessary.
